Palatine and Oak Grove College Garden Open Days 2008 Joint opening. One ticket/double entry Palatine's large, mature garden, with its varied collection of plants never ceases to surprise visitors. Conservation and wildlife area gardens with large and small ponds and bog garden. Sea garden oriental garden, dry gardens, Thinking garden, rockeries, Echium walk, labyrinth, mosaics, picnic areas and interesting tree collection. Oak Grove College, The Boulevard , Worthing, opened on 31st October 2005. All secondary aged students from Palatine, Highdown and Heronsdale Schools now attend there. Developing the grounds from scratch has been a real challenge and very exciting. In contrast to Palatine, Oak Grove College, opening for the first time for the N.G.S. is an example of a garden in the making, showing how much can be achieved in less than three years. Water wise gardens, large courtyard with seating area, water feature, sculptures and extensive planting, memorial gardens, spiral herb garden, large food growing area, poly tunnels, living willow and reclaimed woodland. Come and see for yourself. Gardens Open in aid of The National Gardens Scheme . All profits got to named charities. Sunday 8th June 11-5pm, with Teas Sunday 13th July 11-5pm, with Teas Working Bees If you would like to help maintain the gardens this year these are the next dates. These run from 10am -4pm at the school. Bring a picnic to share. Meet at the school in Palatine Rd, Worthing. 4th November, 16th December, 3rd February, 30th March, 11th May, 29th June
