None of the wonderful work that we have done in our gardens would have been possible without the help and support of many people. We would like to thank the following volunteer helpers (new ones always welcome) who not only come in regularly during term but also give up their time to help maintain the gardens in the school holidays:
Peter Mitchell, Alan Gunn, June and Frank Pidgeon,
(our very special, committed helpers over many years - what would we do without them!),
Bernard and Gerald Clapshoe, (our tree experts),
Claire Stubbings (parent),
Sharon Grispino (a parent, also now employed to work on the Outdoor curriculum),
Philippa Challis (our most recent volunteer, inspired to offer help after a visit last summer).
Many thanks to all friends, parents and kind neighbours who have donated plants and contribute in various ways, especially in Grounds Week and during holidays.

Christmas tree re-cycling
We were involved in the Christmas tree re-cycling project yet again this year and will be using the bark on our paths and the labyrinth, which we are making jointly with English Martyrs School.
Future Support
We hope that in the future Palatine Pond and Gardens will be visited and enjoyed by the wider community.
We are in the National Gardens Scheme and will be opening five times for charity as part of their scheme.
We have recently set up a partnership with St. Barnabas Hospice and are sharing our open days with them. They will be providing the refreshments and garden T-shirts for our pupils to wear so please support us on those days as all profit from Teas will go to the hospice.
It is also being planned that our pupils will help plant out the gardens for The Chestnut Tree House and that they will be actively involved with both hospices.
The pond cabin will be available as a learning facility to other local schools and groups to use when it is completed.
If you would like to visit with a group at some point please contact the school. Dates of our open days are in this website.
