English is used for two-thirds of all scientific papers, for half the business deals in Europe, for 70% of the world's mail, used by 157 (out of 168) of world's airlines, is taught more widely, is the official language of countries with one third of the worlds population.

Our English ancestors seeded the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia; all democratic, self-supporting nations.

In England we apologise for our mistakes

The English founded the largest, most influential empire in man's recorded history, gave independence with perhaps too great a speed and generosity, and still holds together the British Commonwealth as an organisation for common good.

England introduced the games of football, cricket, tennis, and more recently snooker to the world, and even now sometimes win.
