Bond Chief Exec Steve Russell receives the Distinction in Building Award from Worthing Mayor Brian McLuskie in the grand entrance hall at Courtlands Leading recruitment software producers Bond International Software had a VIP visit recently when Worthing's Mayor dropped in to officially handover a prestigious award.

Bond was one of two recipients of the Worthing Borough Council Distinction in Building Awards for high standards of design and craftsmanship. The company scooped the award for its restoration of the Grade II listed Courtlands building, which opened as its UK headquarters in March after substantial refurbishment.

Group chief executive Steve Russell personally coordinated the massive project. which took six months and £1.4 million to complete. Several local contractors and craftsmen were employed to restore the building to its former glory after it had been left to stand empty for four years

He said: "We are delighted that the renovation work has been officially recognised with an award. It is a tribute to the many people who worked extremely hard to sympathetically restore Courtlands, whilst at the same time creating a conducive working environment."
