PRESS RELEASE - 30 July 1999

GLOBAL SOFTWARE SPECIALISTS SPONSOR LOCAL WEBSITE
New neighbours contribute to community spirit in Goring-by-Sea

A website designed to foster community spirit in Goring-by-Sea has received a welcome boost from global software specialists Bond International Software.

Bond, which produces ground-breaking software for the recruitment and HR sectors, moved into Goring-by-Sea after buying and restoring the historic Courtlands building last August The company has proactively sought to build relations with the local community and has now provided financial support for the website at: http.//www.goring-by-sea.uk.com

Bond chief executive Steve Russell said: "We are keen to play our part in the local community We have offices in the US, South Africa and Australia but this is our corporate home.

"We have a great deal of respect for the history of the Courtlands building and were therefore very interested to see it featured on the Goring-by-Sea web site.

"The webmaster, Richard Waller, does an excellent job of running the site and providing community news and services - we're delighted to be associated with it."

The site (www.goring-by-sea.uk.com) gets 1200 hits each month, many from overseas.

Webmaster Richard Waller said: "l'm grateful for Bond's support, the company is an excellent neighbour and has done a wonderful job of restoring the much-loved Courtlands building.

"I hope that many more people will visit the site and use the services we provide there. A huge range of information is covered: weather information, a directory of around 400 local shops and services, and societies like the Goring Residents' Association and the Ilex Conservation Group. There is a wealth of community history with details of the four manor houses in Goring - of which Courtlands is the largest.

"I developed the website in July 1997 and am very pleased with the response it has had. There have been interesting queries from overseas - for example, families who used to live here wanting to trace relatives and friends.

Bond has hosted several events at Courtlands since completing its £1.4 million restoration programme. The company introduced itself with an open day for neighbours and has since hosted the Mayor's charity concert and held a ceremony to dedicate a bench in the idyllic grounds to Eric Fossleitner, the late 'Fox Man of Worthing'.
