Software leaders Bond sell subsidiary Integra to Travelware

Staffing software producers Bond International Software Plc has sold off its travel software company, Integra.

Bond, which bought Integra in September 1997, has sold the business to Travelware Information Systems Inc., a US-based provider of automated solutions for the tourism and travel industries.

Bond International Software Plc chief executive Steve Russell said: "Integra needed a partner specialising in the niche destination market. We took Integra where we could but we are very focused on the staffing industry and this is an area where we need to direct all our resources at the present time."

Graham McKenzie, managing director of Integra Systems Ltd, remains managing director and is resigning as a director of Bond International Software Plc. All other Integra staff are being retained by the new owners.

McKenzie said: "I am excited by the fresh direction and new opportunities for growth which this deal will bring to Integra."

Charlie Kao, chief executive of Travelware, said: "I believe this acquisition makes the Travelware Group the leading destination management organisation in the world and perfectly complements the services that we are able to offer."

Bond now has eight offices globally, providing staffing software and support services to an estimated 25,000 users in 36 countries.
