Bond nets £250,000 Italian job

Global staffing software producers Bond International Software Plc has landed a £250,000 contract supplying its AdaptRecruitment software to Italy's largest recruitment company, Quanta.

To meet the Italian recruiter's needs, Bond's European CEO Tim Richards brought on board Bond Asia Pacific Manager Tony Deliseo - who has a thorough knowledge of the Italian market and speaks fluent Italian.

Richards said: "Although it might seem a bit ironic to enlist the help of an Australian to head up an Italian project, Tony spent many years in Italy and speaks perfect Italian, so he was an ideal person for the project.

Italy has some of the most stringent recruitment regulations in Europe so the system had to meet a number of reporting requirements as well as needing all its fields translated. Fortunately, Adapt's flexibility and Tony's language skills made this process relatively straight forward."

Quanta, which has 35 offices throughout Italy, needed a system that cut through the red tape and took the bureaucratic headache out of recruiting. Among the extensive list of requirements for a temporary recruitment system was the need to comply with the Government's complex recruiting and reporting regulations.

The company will be using a specially created extranet where clients and candidates can log in and post and update details online. It will also be using Bond's ASP facility where all the hardware is hosted and maintained by Bond - eliminating the need for costly internal support.

Quanta CEO Umberto Quintavale added: "We needed a system which offered us flexible and powerful screen layouts and where we could brand the software with our own corporate identity. The ASP solution also meant we had an out of the box solution which was totally web-based and straight forward to install."

Bond, which has eight offices worldwide in the UK, Italy, US, Australia, Canada and South Africa, now has an estimated 25,000 users of its Adapt software in 36 countries.
