Courtlands setting for Children's Centre fundraiser

The Gold Room at Goring's historic Courtlands building will be the sumptuous setting for a Champagne Buffet in aid of the new Children's Centre at Worthing Hospital.

The event, on June 30 from 7.15 to 11pm, will be hosted by fundraiser Carol Molineaux, and includes an evening of music including classical guitarist Alison Parrot who will be playing Vivaldi and pianist Julie Mackrill, soprano Sarah Corp and pianist Adrian West.

There will also be an auction compered by Shoreham MP Tim Loughton, a champagne buffet and a fireworks display funded by Bond International Software Plc and provided by Aurora Fireworks in Billingshurst.

Around 80 people are expected to attend, including new Worthing Mayor Valerie Button as she has adopted the Children's Centre as one of her chosen charities.

Money raised will go towards equipping the new Children's Centre, which will house a children's outpatients clinic, the child development team, child mental health services, child specialist nursing and school health services. It will also provide essential modern facilities for audiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy.

Bond International Software, which produces web-based staffing software, has an active community relations programme in place and has held several fundraising events at Courtlands including an Antiques Roadshow, Teddy Bears Picnic and more recently Red Nose day events.
