Record Results for Sussex-based staffing software leader Bond

Worthing-based global staffing software producers Bond International Software Plc today (April 2, 2001) announced record Year End results.

Highlights for the Year Ended December 31, 2000 include:
· Sales up 11% to £9.4 million (1999: £8.5 million)
· Gross profit margin improved from 82.5% to 88.8%
· Operating profit £1.12 million (1999: Loss £0.71 million)
· Earnings per share 5.02 pence

· Product development expenditure totals £1.3 million (17.7% of overheads)
· Launch of Adapt web based product range
· Successful launch of Adapt-ASP in UK
· Reorganisation of US operation

Commenting on the results, Bond's chairman Martin Baldwin said: "This has been a most successful year for Bond, Adapt has retained a dominant position in the UK, and in the USA we are now firmly established as one of the leading suppliers of staffing software. We enter the current year, optimistic about the group's performance and are expecting a number of significant new orders to be delivered in the second half.

Bond's software and services are used globally by more than 22,000 people in more than 36 countries and it has seven offices in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and South Africa. It's global headquarters is in Parklands Avenue, Goring, where it employs 105 people.
