Blue Arrow invests £2 million in Bond's E-Commerce System

Blue Arrow, one of the UK's leading providers of temporary labour, has announced that it will be investing £2 million in a powerful new technology system from Bond International Software Plc to web-enable its national business network

The deal will see Bond's web-based, recruitment software, Adapt, introduced into more than 200 of Blue Arrow's branches and on-site service centres. The system will automate Blue Arrow's existing working practices giving it full e-commerce capabilities which will extend across the processing of orders, invoices and timesheets.

Speaking about the new system, Blue Arrow Chief Executive Diana Cornish said: "The introduction of Adapt software into our business gives us a significant competitive edge. Our consultants will be able to access information on-line and in real time, ensuring that we can provide an even more responsive service to our clients and candidates. In addition, it will further enhance our ability to electronically process timesheets and invoices with the minimum of delay. Once completed, the web enabling of Blue Arrow's systems will mean that we have achieved a key part of the business development strategy I announced last autumn. Moving ahead, we will continue to focus on developing our four core markets of office, healthcare, catering and industrial."

Bond's European CEO Tim Richards said: "Using our software, Blue Arrow will be able to harness the power of both adapt and the Web -- a formidable force. Staff will he able to share, update and access information from Blue Arrow's multiple branches and offices, via the latest browser-based system."
