News Release - Sept 14 2000

Bond opens doors to recruiters

Around 50 leaders from the world of recruitment visited the global headquarters of Bond International Software Plc recently to see the latest web-enabled recruitment system and to hear about the company's plans for the future

The event, held in the magnificent Gold Room at the historic Courtlands building in Parklands Avenue, Goring, included a number of key speakers including Bond International Software Plc CEO Steve Russell and Bond (UK) managing director Tim Richards. Information systems manager Daniel Richardson detailed news of the latest products and the company's future plans, while Bond's head of account management Alastair Murray outlined the forthcoming enhancements to the department's services, including doubling the number of staff and increased client contact.

Web enablement was a recurring theme throughout the day. Dominating the agenda was the unveiling of Bond's latest product - the web-based version of Adapt. Part of it's iNet product suite, it enables consultants to maximise their competitive edge through dovetailing existing working practices with the web.

Bond International Software (UK) Ltd managing director Tim Richards said: "Offering a Web-based version of Adapt means that our clients have access to their system from home, internet cafes, and in fact, anywhere where they can dial in via the Web. The wealth of opportunity created by the internet has provided the foundation of the company's growth strategy. Bond is leading the way in configurable internet recruitment systems, with Adapt remaining the number one system on the market."

Bond clients tempz.com and Revolver.com were key speakers at the event - offering an insight into how the internet has changed the face of recruitment and how the fresh opportunities can be harnessed

Chris Leonard, managing director of tempz.com, stressed the importance of good customer service. He said: "Bond's approach to customer care, compared with some of its direct competitors, was far superior and that is very important when you are choosing a software partner. You want to know that the company you are working with will strive to deliver, and that is exactly what Bond has done."

Since entering the new millennium, Bond has landed contracts providing the back office solution to the web-site of tempz.com, the world's first full service pure play online temp recruitment agency, and more recently signed a similar contract with News Network for its new online job site, Revolver.com

It has also signed a global contract with Kelly Services and recently successfully completed a national deployment of its software to around 1000 Manpower staff throughout the UK.

In addition to its headquarters in Goring, West Sussex, Bond has an additional six offices in the USA, Australia, South Africa and Canada. Its software and support services are now used by an estimated 20,000 users in 36 countries
