Integra helps fill virtual vacancies in £400.000 project Leading Sussex-based tourism software producer Integra has scooped a major contract supplying its flagship Integra software to Southport Tourist information Centre The contract is part of £400,000 public funding to put the resort on the worldwide map to ensure that tourists from across the globe can surf Southport online. Southport's web site will soon feature accommodation as well as restaurants. conference facilities, golf and entertainment in a move that positions the resort as a technological leader in the tourism industry Thanks to a state-of-the-art database powered by Integra, would-be holidaymakers will also be able to check out hotel's location and facilities, and by the end of the year will be able to check availability and book the room of their choice on the web. Integra Systems Managing Director Graham McKenzie said: "Visitors need a service which provides them with comprehensive, relevant information acessible at the click of a mouse. Our Web-based software, means that they can now view and book up to-date accommodation, conference facilities and attractions easily and quickly." "This is a great step forward for Southport and takes us into the premier league of facilities for holiday makers," said Sefton Council's Economic Development and Tourism Director Ken Wainman. "The town has a lot to offer and we want to make sure that people can see that for themselves - wherever they are in the world."
